Salamatu Ibrahim is an experienced professional in finance and accounting, currently serving as an Accountant at the ECOWAS Commission since January 2024. Previously, Salamatu held positions as an Assistant Branch Manager and Graduate Trainee at Access Bank Plc from March 2022 to January 2023, and worked as an Accountant at the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO) from March 2021 to March 2022. Before that, Salamatu gained experience as a Financial Analyst at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria, during a mandatory National Youth Service Corps program in early 2020. An internship at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 2018 provided additional exposure to finance and accounting processes. Salamatu holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management as well as a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Nile University of Nigeria and is a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
