Ms Thoko Moyo is a global communications expert with over 20 years of experience developing strategies and campaigns for multilateral organisations, international foundations and Fortune 500 companies. She has advised C-Suite executives in Europe, the US and Africa on crisis communications, reputation management and positioning.
She is currently Dean of communications and public affairs at Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role she oversees communications for the School and teaches strategic communications in the executive education program. Before joining Harvard, she worked as a directory of global communications at the Ford Foundation in New York and as communications head for the Jobs Group of the World Bank based in Washington, D.C. She has also held senior communications positions at Diageo and BP. Early in her career she worked as a journalist at the BBC in London.
Thoko also sits on the board of Southbridge Group, a pan-African investment bank based in Paris. She aims to bring positive change in every role that she understates, and lives by the mantra ‘do no harm; do more good’.
