Saroop Mathur has a diverse work experience primarily in the technology industry that spans over two decades. Saroop is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Eclipz since April 2022. Previously, they worked as the Senior Principal Engineer at SDSE Networks from September 2017 to December 2021. Mathur also worked as a Consultant at ATGames for five months in 2017.

Before that, Mathur worked as CTO & Architect at Zeebridge from January 2016 to January 2017. In this role, they designed and implemented a security platform for IoT devices and gateways. Mathur also handled the architecture and development of an event processing rules engine using an embedded time-series database.

In their early career, Mathur served as the Director of Server Technologies at Looxcie from 2010 to 2013, where they architected and implemented a scalable cloud-based video platform that included features like live video streaming, storage, processing, and transcoding.

Mathur also co-founded Instera, Inc in 2001, where they spearheaded the architecture for an enterprise instant messaging security appliance that provided encryption abilities. Saroop succeeded in acquiring the company to Ciphertrust and later by Secure Computing. Before that, Mathur served in multiple roles as a CTO and a software developer at Xpressent, Inc, and as a founder at XML security. Saroop also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Scalent, Inc, implementing flow-based traffic management at the network level. Also, they designed and developed enterprise security products for P2P applications as a Software Developer at CipherTrust.

Saroop Mathur earned a B Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 1976 to 1981. Continuing their education, they received an MS degree in Computer Science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology from 1982 to 1983.
