Allan Wagman is an accomplished chemistry professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Chemistry at Rain Oncology since July 2018, Allan oversees Technical Operations and leads projects transitioning from Phase 1 to Phase 3, including notable work on the Milademetan and Tarlox projects. Previously, Allan held the position of Senior Director of Chemistry at Sagimet Biosciences, where responsibilities included strategic planning and managing the development of key compounds. Earlier roles include leadership positions at Blanca Pharmaceuticals and Achaogen, where Allan contributed significantly to the discovery and development of novel antibacterial drugs. Allan's career also includes impactful work at Novartis and Chiron Corporation in drug discovery and R&D, backed by a solid educational foundation with a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
