Zinaida Perova is a Project Lead at European Bioinformatics Institute, where Zinaida focuses on software development for cancer research. Prior to this role, Zinaida worked as a Bioimaging Data Scientist, Marie Curie Fellow, Postdoctoral Fellow, and Graduate student at various prestigious institutions. Zinaida holds a BA in Physics from Saint-Petersburg State Politechnical University and a PhD in Neuroscience from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Throughout their career, Zinaida has conducted research on neuronal changes in the brain related to depression, effects of chronic stress, and function of essential proteins in bacteria. Zinaida also has experience as a guide-interpreter and has organized international conferences and performed business translations.
