Wenpeng Liu is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in energy storage systems and battery technology. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Eaton since April 2019, Wenpeng previously held key roles including Director of Battery Systems at Faraday Future, where leadership of multi-disciplinary teams resulted in innovative battery systems for electric vehicles. Prior positions include Senior Manager of Advanced Battery Power Systems at Saic Motor Co., Ltd., Lead System Engineer at GE Power & Water, and a Mechanical Engineer at GE Global Research. Wenpeng's earlier career also includes significant contributions to fuel cell technology at MTI MicroFuel Cells and the Electrochemical Engine Center. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Tsinghua University.
