Ken Michie is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in welding and mechanical engineering. Ken held various positions, including Lead Mechanical Engineer and Sr Cell Design Engineer at Ion Storage Systems, and Staff Process Development Engineer at Tesla. Prior experience includes roles at Saft as a Cell Design Engineer and Welding Engineer, where Ken focused on laser weld process development for lithium-ion batteries. At Medtronic, Ken served as Principal Manufacturing Engineer, developing welding processes for life-sustaining medical devices. Earlier experience includes positions at Cobasys, CRC-Evans Pipeline International, and CenterLine (Windsor) Limited, where Ken developed welding processes for various applications. Ken holds a Master of Science in Welding Engineering from Cranfield University, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of North Florida, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor.
