Christopher Martyn Hughes PhD, CFA has several years of work experience in the financial industry. Christopher Martyn started their career as a Developer at Pershing, where they developed a web-based trading product. After that, they worked as a Senior Developer at WSP Group, where they jointly developed a web-based helpdesk product and maintained a web-based "big data" analysis product.

Christopher Martyn then moved on to Credit Suisse, where they worked as a Quants Developer. In this role, they designed and maintained a large equities database, managed a futures application, and handled the team's relationship with IT and project management.

Following their time at Credit Suisse, Christopher joined UBS Global Asset Management as a Quantitative Analyst. There, they managed portfolios based on various strategies, created and monitored daily alpha generation processes, and developed a web application for an event-driven trading strategy.

Most recently, Christopher worked at Eastspring Investments as a Portfolio Manager and Contractor.

Christopher Martyn started their educational journey at Imperial College London, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry from 1992 to 1995. Christopher Martyn then pursued further studies at King's College London, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and completed their Master of Science (with distinction) from 1996 to 1997. Christopher's academic pursuits culminated in a PhD in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Christopher has also acquired various certifications to enhance their expertise. Christopher Martyn earned CMFAS Level 3 from IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore in September 2016. Christopher Martyn also obtained CMFAS Level 5 from SINGAPORE COLLEGE OF INSURANCE LTD in September 2016. Furthermore, Christopher is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), having earned this prestigious certification from the CFA Institute.

Moreover, Christopher has taken several online courses to further develop their skills. These include courses such as "Data Manipulation in R with dplyr," "Data Visualization in R with ggvis," "Intermediate R," "Intro to Python for Data Science," "Introduction to Machine Learning," "Machine Learning with Python Track," and "Reporting with R Markdown," all completed on DataCamp.
