Douglas Mautz is a Senior Program and Portfolio Manager at Fred Hutch, overseeing the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention (SCHARP) since July 2020, and providing support to partner networks such as HVTN and CoVPN. Mautz also serves as a FireCorp Employee-Volunteer with Eastside Fire & Rescue since October 2018, focusing on emergency communications and fundraising initiatives. Previously, Mautz was the Principal at Critical Path Management Support, LLC, from January 2017 to December 2019, assisting R&D management in optimizing timelines and costs. Mautz held several senior roles at Forest Laboratories between 2008 and 2014, including Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Sciences, leading drug development efforts. Earlier experience includes a decade with Panlabs/MDS Pharma Services, culminating as Senior Director of Bioanalytical and DMPK, where Mautz managed operations, P&L responsibilities, and strategic business development. Mautz earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Miami University.
