Dorcas Johnson, MS LAT ATC, is an experienced education and athletic training professional currently serving as the Supervisor of Health and Physical Education for the East Orange School District since September 2023, where leadership is provided in developing K-12 instructional programs and meeting state curriculum standards. In addition to this role, Dorcas has worked as a Per Diem Athletic Trainer for the National Athletic Trainers' Association since June 2011, coordinating programs for the medical care of student athletes. Prior experience includes serving as the Lead Health and Physical Education Teacher for Newark Public Schools from January 2012 to September 2023, where a district-wide curriculum was developed for grades 9-12, along with mentorship provided to colleagues. Dorcas holds a Post Graduate degree in Education Administration from Kean University, a Master of Science in Athletic Training from Seton Hall University, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University.
