Melissa Legge is an Senior Associate Attorney at EARTHJUSTICE. Melissa has worked in environmental law and advocacy for several years. Prior to their current position, they were a Summer Law Clerk at Earthjustice, where they researched and drafted memoranda on various topics in environmental litigation. Melissa also interned at the Environmental Defense Fund, where they worked on research and advocacy related to the Clean Power Plan. In addition to their work in environmental law, Melissa has also worked as a political organizer and representative. Melissa coordinated campaigns for the Minnesota DFL Party and also worked on voter outreach and engagement as an organizer for Grassroots Solutions.
Melissa Legge attended St. Johnsbury Academy for high school. Melissa then went on to Washington University in St. Louis for their Bachelor of Arts, where they studied Environmental Studies and American Culture Studies. After that, they attended Yale School of the Environment for their Master of Environmental Management. Finally, they attended Yale Law School for their Doctor of Law.
