Waqas Ahmed serves as the Executive Director of Khalili Foundation, leading global initiatives in cultural diplomacy and philanthropy since January 2021. Concurrently, Waqas holds the position of Assistant Professor at LIS: The London Interdisciplinary School, focusing on interdisciplinary education across various subjects. As Chair of the Global Advisory Group at Earth 300, Waqas promotes sustainability research related to oceanography and the climate crisis. Waqas founded The DaVinci Network, a forum for polymaths, and has held roles as a Visiting Fellow at The Open University Business School and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge's Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development. Previous experiences include curatorial work at the Barbican Centre, editorial responsibilities for UNESCO’s cultural diversity declaration, and serving as Artistic Director for The Khalili Collections. Waqas has an educational background in International Relations from renowned institutions including King's College London and the London School of Economics.
