Fatima Rios Avellaneda has a diverse work experience in the field of Quality Assurance and Engineering. Fatima started their career at GASOMICH in 2008, where they worked as an IT Help Desk, Web Developer, and UI/UX Designer. In 2009, they joined Scio Consulting as a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst, providing quality-assurance assessments to US-based clients.
In 2015, Fatima joined Symantec as a Sr. SQA Engineer, where they played a crucial role in devising test strategies, documenting test plans, and test cases. Fatima also accelerated the average QA testing turn-around by improving communication with cross-functional teams.
Fatima later joined Veritas Technologies LLC in 2015 as a Sr. SQA Engineer and eventually became the Principal SQA Engineer. In this role, they set the direction of the Software Quality Assurance Engineering team and provided hands-on testing services. Fatima also administered and configured tools used by the testing team.
In 2020, Fatima joined Fortra as a Sr. Product Test Engineer. Fatima led the QA team in planning and creating test plans, designed test scripts, and worked closely with the product owner and developers. Fatima also developed new automation test cases and increased automation coverage.
Lastly, Fatima is currently working at EarnUp as a Lead QA Engineer since 2023.
Fatima Rios Avellaneda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia.
