Barry Deutsch has over 30 years of work experience in various managerial and consulting roles. Barry began their career in 1982 as a Consultant at Deloitte, where they worked until 1986. Following this, they joined Strategic Systems Consulting as a Manager from 1986 to 1992. Barry then worked at Contel Cellular/GTE as a Manager from 1992 to 1994, and later joined ALLTEL Information Services as a Manager from 1994 to 1998. Since 1998, they have been working at eApps, where they hold the position of VP.

Barry Deutsch pursued their education at Texas A&M University, where they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from 1976 to 1980. Following this, they went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Computing Science from Texas A&M University during the academic year 1980-1981.
