Richard Machin currently serves as the Deputy Headteacher at E-ACT since April 2022, following a role as Senior Assistant Headteacher at Heartlands E-Act Academy. With a progressive career in educational leadership, Richard held several positions within the E-ACT framework, including a trust placement as deputy head and previously as Assistant Head Teacher at Heartlands Academy, responsible for behaviour, attendance, safeguarding, and student voice. Richard's earlier experience includes a pivotal role at Rockwood Academy, where a small senior team improved the school's rating from special measures to Good in just seven months. Richard began a journey in leadership at Q3 Academy, gaining valuable experience that led to an appointment as Assistant Vice Principal. Richard holds a BSc Honours degree in Biology from the University of Birmingham.
