Julia Coronado is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in both academia and the financial sector. Currently serving as the Lead Independent Director at Dynex Capital, Inc. since October 2020, Coronado also holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at Texas McCombs School of Business since September 2018 and is the President and Founder of MacroPolicy Perspectives LLC since April 2017. Previous roles include Chief Economist at Graham Capital Management, L.P. and BNP Paribas, where Coronado also served as Chief Economist for North America, as well as Senior US Economist at Barclays Capital. Early career experience includes an economist position at the Federal Reserve Board. Academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
