Michael McCormick

Michael McCormick, DSc has over a decade of experience in the field of information technology. Michael has held various leadership positions at Elmira College and Dynamic Campus, such as Help Desk Manager, Systems Manager, Technical Director, Associate Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Officer, and currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Operations. In these roles, Michael has demonstrated a track record of providing strategic vision, leadership, and guidance in the effective and innovative use of technology resources to support teaching, learning, and business operations within educational institutions. Michael'sresponsibilities have included overseeing network systems, infrastructure, enterprise applications, project management, data governance, and information security, among others. Throughout their career, they have worked closely with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives and the adherence to industry best practices.

Michael McCormick, DSc, began their education at Elmira College where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Adolescent Education and Mathematics in 2016. Michael later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Corporate and Community Education from 2016 to 2018 at the same institution. In 2017 and 2018, they earned Advanced Certificates at the Master's Level in Human Resources Development and Training of Trainers, respectively. Most recently, from 2019 to 2022, they completed their Doctor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance at Capitol Technology University.
