Thomas Chu began their work experience as a Structured Finance Analyst at PPM America in May 2003. Thomas then moved on to DWS Group in July 2005, where they worked as a Structured Finance Research Analyst until June 2016. Thomas then took on the role of Senior Trader and Team Lead at DWS Group in July 2016, where they continue to work.

Thomas Chu attended Stuyvesant High School, a school located in New York City. After completing high school, they proceeded to attend NYU Stern School of Business from 1998 to 2002, although no specific degree or field of study information is available for this period.
