Paul Smith is a seasoned legal professional with over 28 years of experience in civil litigation and insurance. Currently a Partner at Duncan Cotterill since March 2016, Paul leads a team of seven lawyers, representing many of New Zealand's major insurers and frequently appearing in the High Court, as well as having experience in all court levels up to the Supreme Court. Prior to this role, Paul was a Partner at Fortune Manning from July 1997 to February 2016, and is a member of the NZ Insurance Law Association. Paul holds a BA/LLB from The University of Auckland, completed between 1983 and 1988, and has been admitted to practice in both New Zealand and England and Wales.
