Kieran O'Connell is a legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property law. Currently serving as a Partner at Duncan Cotterill since November 2024, Kieran previously held the position of Principal and Senior Associate at AJ Park from October 2008 to November 2024, where responsibilities included advising on trade mark registration and infringement, filing trade mark applications across New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands, and handling domain name disputes. Prior experience includes serving as a Business Affairs Executive at Contender Entertainment Group and as an English Language Teacher in Japan through JET. Early in their career, Kieran worked as a Policy Analyst for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, advising the New Zealand Government on intellectual property policies. Kieran holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Otago.
