Erika Jackson currently serves as an Editorial Assistant at Duke University Press, contributing to the Books Acquisition department by managing editorial and administrative tasks such as drafting contracts, formatting manuscripts, and facilitating peer reviews. Previously, Erika held the position of Editor for Spectrum, Wittenberg University's annual non-fiction prose publication, where work involved proofreading and ensuring adherence to citation styles. As a Writing Center Advisor, Erika supported approximately 90 sessions annually to enhance writing skills for peers. In addition, Erika has taken on leadership roles such as Co-President of the Student Advisory Group for English, and has experience as an Undergraduate Representative with the East Central Writing Center Association. Erika's community efforts include tutoring ESL students at the Warder Literacy Center and organizing youth activities as a camp counselor. Educational credentials include a Master's program at Duke University, a Bachelor's degree in English from Wittenberg University, and a Publishing Institute Certificate from the University of Denver.
