Phil Spaulding has an extensive career in firefighting and emergency services, currently serving as part of the Nuclear Traveling Maintenance Team 1 at Duke Energy Corporation since September 2013. As President of the Iron Clad chapter of the Knights of the Inferno Firefighters Motorcycle Club, Phil Spaulding leads an organization that welcomes members from various emergency services and military backgrounds. With a firefighting career that began in 1979, experience includes roles as a firefighter at Northwest Fire Rescue and New Hanover County Fire Rescue, as well as instructing future firefighters. Additional leadership roles include past President of the International Red Knights NC17 Chapter and former Chief of North Wilmington Vol. Fire Department. Phil Spaulding is also recognized for qualifications such as NC Level 2 Fire Service Instructor and NC Level 1 Haz-Mat.
