David Raiford, CPA, currently serves as an Accounting Manager at Duke Energy Corporation, where responsibilities include managing a team involved in financial close and reporting processes for Duke Energy Progress, as well as overseeing asset retirement obligations and nuclear decommissioning funds. With extensive experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting management, David has previously held positions as Lead Accounting Analyst and Senior XBRL and Financial Reporting Specialist at Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas, respectively. David's background also includes serving as a Senior Audit Associate at Grant Thornton, where audit services were provided to a diverse range of clients. David holds a Master of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
