Wes Whatley has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Wes currently serves as the Senior Director of Operations for DT Midstream, where they manage the operations of their BUGS/LEAP systems in NW Louisiana. Prior to that, Wes founded Pearman Processing, LLC in 2021.
From 2016 to 2021, Wes worked at Sendero Midstream Partners, LLC, first as the Vice President of Gas Processing and then as the Director of Engineering and Operations. Wes was responsible for overseeing gas processing operations and engineering projects during their tenure.
Before Sendero Midstream Partners, Wes worked at Lucid Energy Group as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed capital and operations optimization projects. Wes was specifically in charge of project management and engineering for Lucid's Munson Plant, Booster Station, and other assets.
From 2012 to 2014, Wes held the position of Vice President of Engineering & Construction at both TransTex Hunter, LLC and TransTex Gas Services, LP. Wes was accountable for the engineering, procurement, and installation of natural gas processing plants and provided technical consulting services.
In the earlier years of their career, Wes worked as a Chief Technical Advisor for UOP, where they completed assignments in various countries and provided technical support in startup and commissioning processes. Wes also had an internship as a Reliability Engineer at Koch Petroleum Group.
Throughout their career, Wes has gained extensive expertise in project management, engineering, operations, and technical consulting in the energy industry.
Wes Whatley holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, which they obtained in 2013. Wes also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they completed between 1997 and 2002. Additionally, they are a certified Texas A&M MBA Graduate, awarded by the Mays Business School.
