Plamen Doudov has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Plamen began their career at BNP Paribas, where they worked as an Account Officer and later as a Relationship Manager in the Corporate and Investment Banking department. During their time at BNP Paribas, they focused on industries such as Tobacco, Alcohol, FMCG, Pharmaceutics, Construction, and Media and Telecom.
Following their tenure at BNP Paribas, Plamen joined Financia Group, a member of Alfa Finance Holding, as a Senior Manager in Corporate and Public Finance. Here, they were involved in project and public finance, providing coverage, origination, financial modeling, and support for transactions in the public, energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. Plamen successfully placed a municipal bond for Varna during their time with the company.
Next, Plamen served as the CEO and Member of the Board at State Consolidation Company, where they were responsible for the consolidation and management of state-owned companies and assets, with the goal of subsequent privatization through the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. However, this process faced continuous delays and did not receive approval.
Plamen then joined Alfa Finance Holding as a Project Finance Manager, focusing on project finance, debt restructuring, and M&A transactions. After their time with Alfa Finance Holding, Plamen joined Solytron, a wholesale distributor in the ITC industry, as the Director of Business Development. Here, they were involved in M&A sales-side consulting, conducting due diligence, transformation, and restructuring of the company to prepare it for sale to a strategic investor.
Currently, Plamen works at DSK Bank, where they have held various roles. Plamen started as a Relationship Manager for Large Corporate Clients, responsible for client coverage, deal origination, credit portfolio management, and financial analysis. Plamen was later promoted to Head of Team for Large Corporate Clients, followed by a role as a Project Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Corporate Business Development at DSK Bank.
Plamen Doudov completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics, Political Science, and International Relations from the American University in Bulgaria between 1998 and 2002. Then, from 2002 to 2004, they pursued their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics from CERGE-EI, Charles University in Prague. In 2005 and 2006, they attended the Francophone Institute for Administration and Management in Sofia (IFAG) where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Enterprise Management.
