Georgi Popov has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Georgi started their career as a Legal Trainee at Attorney at Law in June 2013. Georgi then joined DSK Bank in July 2015 as a Legal Trainee and later moved up to become a Legal Advisor in January 2018. In October 2020, they were promoted to Senior Legal Advisor and eventually became the Head of the Mortgage Legal Section in November 2022, a position they currently hold.

Georgi Popov obtained their Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski from 2011 to 2016, specializing in Law. Georgi also pursued a Postgraduate Diploma from the British Law Centre in cooperation with the University of Cambridge, focusing on Law, English Law, and the Law of the European Union from 2014 to 2016. In 2018, they completed the Bar Exam at the Sofia Bar Association to further their legal expertise. Additionally, they earned their High School Diploma in Foreign Languages from Vth Language School "Joan Ekzarh" between 2006 and 2011.
