Dimitar Dimitrov has a strong background in security and HR, with experience in various roles at different companies. Dimitar began their career in 2002 as a Valuable Consignments Expert at GROUP 4 SECURITAS. Dimitar then moved on to ProCredit Bank Bulgaria, where they served as the Head of the Physical and Technical Security Unit from 2006 to 2014. Dimitrov then joined Raiffeisenbank Bulgaria as a Senior Security Expert before being promoted to Head of Physical Security Section. In 2016, they transitioned to Societe Generale Expressbank as the Head of Security, a role they held until 2019. Dimitar then joined Expressbank as the Head of Security Department, and later became the Head of Security. In 2022, Dimitrov became a Member of the Management Board at the Bulgarian Association "Corporate Security" (BACS). Currently, they are working as the Director of HR and Branch Network Security at DSK Bank.

Dimitar Dimitrov attended the Military Academy "G. S. Rakovski" where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Organization and Management of Corporate security. Dimitar then studied at the University of Plovdiv "Paisii Hilendarski" and obtained another Master of Science degree, this time in Business Economics. Dimitar also attended the College of Management, Trade and Marketing-Sofia, where they earned a Professional Bachelor of Marketing degree. Lastly, they studied HR Management at the Technical University of Sofia, although the specific degree they obtained from this institution is not mentioned.
