Michael Wray has over five years of experience in the engineering field. In 2020, they began their current role as Team Lead, Advanced Development at Droplette. Prior to this, they held the roles of Senior R&D and Automation Engineer, R&D and Automation Engineer, Test and Automation Engineer, and Test Engineer at Droplette. In 2018, they worked as a Test and Validation Engineer and Associate Product Engineer at WHOOP. Michael was also a Mechanical Engineer - Contractor at HaA, LLC, where they designed products and assembly line machines for various medical device clients. In 2017, they were a CAD Engineer I - Contractor at Conformis, where they used Solidworks to design patient-specific surgical equipment. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Mechanical Engineer I - Seasonal Intern at Acacia Communications Inc., where they used Solidworks to create part files and check existing models against their spec sheets for dimensional accuracy.
Michael Wray graduated from Francis W Parker Charter Essential School in 2013 with a High School Diploma. Michael then attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Michael obtained a NIMS Machining Certification from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills in March 2018, a Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA) from Dassault Systèmes in March 2015, and is OSHA certified.
