Alok Ranjan is an experienced software engineering manager currently at Dropbox since September 2019, having previously served as a software engineer. Before Dropbox, Alok worked at Big Switch Networks as a member of the technical staff from February 2015 to September 2019, and at VMware from June 2013 to February 2015 in a similar role. Alok's early career included a position as a member of the technical staff intern at VMware, where contributions included designing a cache for 3D rendering tasks and porting a VNC setup. Prior experience also includes a software engineering role at Cisco Systems, focusing on regression testing for various networking protocols. Alok earned a Master's in Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
