Rick Hughes has a long and varied career in the public and private sectors. Rick began their career in 1992 with the U.S. Navy as an Aviator and Pentagon Policy and Budget Analyst. In 2000, they joined the US Naval Institute as a JO Board Member. The following year, they joined Austin International as a Consultant. From 2001 to 2002, they were Deputy Director, Strategic Planning at the Navy International Programs Office. In 2008, they joined the U.S. Department of Commerce as Deputy Director, Advocacy Center, responsible for a central U.S. Government office. From 2011 to 2020, they were Director, International and Foreign Military Sales at North American Rescue. Most recently, they have been Vice President of Professional Sector Sales at DripDrop ORS since 2020.
Rick Hughes obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy between 1988 and 1992. Rick then attended Georgetown University from 1999 to 2001, where they earned a Master of Arts with Distinction in International and Economic Security Studies. In 2008, they completed Level III Program Management from the Defense Acquisition University. Finally, in 2013 and 2014, they attended the Joint Forces Staff College.
