Heath Morrison is the Chief Technology Officer at doxy.me, a company that provides online medical appointments. Heath has also previously worked as the Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder of GovRight, a small US-based organization committed to increasing meaningful collaboration between citizens and government. Morrison has also worked on technology projects for ItRunsInMyFamily.com and Dokbot.
Morrison has overseen all technology-related projects and decisions for GovRight, including the launch of Legislation Lab, GovRight’s flagship platform for public participation in legislation. Legislation Lab has been used by partners to collect citizen feedback on draft constitutions and legislation in Chile, Kurdistan, Morocco, and New York.
Heath has also been responsible for the architecture and implementation of GovRight’s Corpus, a REST API that marries open legislative data to citizen feedback. Corpus is the foundation on which all of GovRight’s citizen services are built (Loopback.io, Javascript/Node.js, MongoDB, Linux).
In addition to their work with GovRight, Morrison has also been a presenter at the PeaceTech Exchange in Sulaimania, Kurdistan, and a founding member of Constitution Lab (http://constitutionlab.org).
Heath Morrison attended the University of Central Florida, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics.
They are on a team with Sebastian Chill - Chief Design Officer, Dylan Turner - Chief Product Officer, and Jim Cope - Chief Operating Officer. Heath Morrison reports to Brandon Welch, Founder & CEO.
