Simona Sassatelli's work experience begins in 2006 when they started working as a Research Fellow at Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. Simona held this position until 2009. In 2008, they also worked as a High School Computer Science Teacher at I.P.S.S.C.T. "Elsa Morante" until 2009. From 2009 to 2010, Simona served as a High School Mathematics Teacher at I.C.T.C.G. "A. Baggi". Simona returned to Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia in 2009 to work as a Lecturer for the Course of "Fondamenti di Informatica e Laboratorio" until 2010. Simona also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same university from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, Simona was a Lecturer for the Course of "Sistemi Informativi d'Azienda" from 2010 to 2011. In 2010, they joined Doxee as a Quality Assurance employee. Simona held various positions within the company, including Quality Assurance Manager from 2013 to 2020 and Head of Corporate Services since October 2020.

Simona Sassatelli has a diverse education history. Simona obtained their Diploma di Maturità Scientifica from Liceo Scientifico "A.F. Formiggini" in 2000. Simona then went on to earn a Laurea degree in Computer Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia in 2003. Simona furthered their education at the same university and obtained a Laurea Magistrale in Computer Engineering from 2003 to 2005.

Simona Sassatelli continued their studies and completed a Professional examination for being a licensed Engineer at the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia in 2006. Simona pursued a Ph.D. in International Doctorate in Information and Communication Technologies from 2006 to 2008 at the same university.

In terms of executive education, Simona Sassatelli attended the Nuova Didactica, Confindustria Management School in 2012, where they completed the Quality Management Program. Simona also completed an Executive Master - School of Leaders at the Elis Corporate School in Rome in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Simona Sassatelli has obtained several certifications. Simona became an Internal Auditor for Quality Management Systems from IMQ - Istituto Italiano del Marchio di Qualità in December 2012. Simona also obtained the ITIL Intermediate Level: Service Operation certification from iLEARN Innovative Learning in November 2012 and the ITIL Foundation certification from QRP International in May 2012.
