Tom Johns is an accomplished finance leader with extensive experience across various industries and regions. Currently serving as the Commercial Finance Director at Downer since 2023, Tom focuses on driving profitable growth within the Rail & Transit Systems sector. Prior to this role, Tom was the Chief Financial Officer at BGIS Asia Pacific from 2019 to 2023, where financial stewardship resulted in doubling revenues for a $1Bn+ turnover business through strategic contracts and acquisitions. Tom also held several senior finance positions at Unisys from 1995 to 2017, culminating in the role of Regional CFO for Asia Pacific & Japan, guiding financial strategy across multiple countries. Earlier career experiences include significant roles in internal audit at Unisys and training at PwC. Tom holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Management Studies from King's College London and is a Chartered Accountant with ICAEW.
