Tod Thananatthanachon

Associate Research Scientist at Dow

Tod Thananatthanachon is an experienced chemist currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist at Dow since August 2022, leading various projects focused on silicone and polymer chemistry. Prior to this role, Thananatthanachon held multiple academic positions at the University of Evansville from August 2011 to July 2022, including the Robert and Judy Wargel Endowed Chair and Associate Professor of Chemistry. Additional experience includes an Assistant Professor position at Juniata College and a post-doctoral research associate role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where significant research on catalytic conversion of sugars and cellulose to liquid fuels was conducted. Thananatthanachon's earlier research experience includes working as a research assistant at Washington University, where synthesis and characterization of organometallic compounds were key contributions. Thananatthanachon earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008.
