Jessica Elferink is an experienced professional in the fields of microbiology and biotechnology, currently serving as an Editorial Assistant at Dove Medical Press since October 2019. Prior to this role, Jessica worked as a Laboratory Technician at AsureQuality from December 2018 to July 2019 and was involved in various research internships at AgResearch and Massey University, Technische Universität Berlin, and Leiden University, focusing on topics such as gut barrier integrity, antifungal protein purification, and virulence factors of Clostridium difficile. Jessica holds a Master of Science in Microbial Biotechnology and Health, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology, both from Leiden University.
