Manuel Airone is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in disaster resilience, sustainable development, and disaster risk management. Currently serving as the Programme Analyst (Head of Livelihood and Durable Solutions) at UNDP since May 2022, Manuel has also held roles such as Disaster Resilience & Sustainable Development Specialist at Relevance África and Mozambique National Analyst at Dove Air. With a strong background exemplified by previous positions, including National Disaster Management Coordinator at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation Coordinator at UNDP, Manuel has demonstrated expertise in independent work and project management. Manuel's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Disaster Resilience and Sustainable Development from the University of Newcastle and a degree in Geography and Territorial Development from Eduardo Mondlane University.
