Spent more than 10 years in a wide range of roles at Tate & Lyle, including head of group strategy, running business units and a $1Bn North American specialty food ingredient unit. He helped launch innovative new products (such as Allulose), including through a JV with DuPont.

Prior to that, Nick spent 10 years at Monitor Company working on corporate and growth strategies as well as M&A work in chemicals, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals and FMCG companies.

Based in Chicago, today Nick is a Principal of Luminary Strategy LLC, a boutique consulting company assisting companies in the food, ingredient and biochemistry industries with commercialization strategies for new products.

Nick is qualified as a Chemical Engineer from the University of Natal in South Africa and was awarded an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago.
