Sam Matthews is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in diabetes and palliative care. Currently employed at Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust since June 2022 and volunteering as a Registered Nurse at Dougie Mac since August 2023, Sam has previously worked as a Diabetes Nurse at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and held the position of Hospice and Palliative Nurse at Douglas Macmillan Hospice from September 2015 to July 2022. Additionally, Sam served as a volunteer with Diabetes UK from 2014 until August 2023. Sam holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes from the University of South Wales, a BSc in Adult Nursing from Staffordshire University, an MSc in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia, and a BSc in Geography from the University of Nottingham.
