Angelina Hua currently works as the Program Coordinator at the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW). At AARW, they’re building Vietnamese political power in Dorchester through organizing with tenants to fight for their rights and coordinating a leadership development program for Vietnamese young adults, called the Dorchester Organizing and Training Initiative (DOT-I). Born and raised in Dorchester, they grew up with a strong Vietnamese diasporic network and hopes to maintain and empower their community from further displacement. Angelina had previously interned at the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK), Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Matahari Women Workers’ Center. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Smith College, Angelina returned to Boston to work as a summer teacher for the VietAID Summer Program for Youth (VSPY).
