Elaine L. has a diverse work experience in the field of product design, spanning over a decade. Elaine is currently working at Domino Data Lab as a Senior Principal Product Designer since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Twilio Inc. as a Principal Product Designer - AI & ML from December 2018 to February 2021.
Elaine also has experience in the e-commerce industry, having served as a Senior Product Designer (Lead) - AI Assistant at eBay from April 2016 to November 2018.
Elaine has also worked with startups, such as Assembly Made, where they were the Lead Product Designer from May 2015 to December 2015, leading the product design for Large (Slack bot) and Assembly (platform for building digital products together).
Elaine's earlier experiences include working as a Digital Product Designer at General Assembly from January 2014 to April 2015, where they focused on user experience, user interface, interaction, and visual design. Elaine also worked as a Visual Design Lead at Spafinder from February 2013 to January 2014, where they redesigned the company's website and designed a new product called Last Minute.
During their career, they have also held positions at G2 Worldwide (now Geometry Global) as a Manager, Art Director (Interactive) from March 2009 to January 2013, Euro RSCG (now Havas) as a Freelance Interactive Art Director in June to August 2008, and JWT as an Art Director Intern in June to August 2007. Elaine's work has been recognized and featured in industry publications such as AdForum.com and Adsoftheworld.com.
Elaine L. holds a BA degree in Psychology & Social Behavior with minors in Management and Digital Arts from UC Irvine. Elaine also has an MA degree in Advertising (Art Direction) from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2014, they completed a Front-end Web Development program and a Product Management program at General Assembly. Elaine has obtained additional certifications in Human Factors in AI, Machine Learning Foundations for Product Managers, Machine Learning in the Enterprise, and Ethics in the Age of AI Specialization from Coursera in the year 2022.
