Cason G. Brunt currently serves as Dean at Kenwood Academy within Chicago Public Schools, focusing on school culture, climate, and attendance since September 2023. Previously, Cason held multiple leadership roles, including Training Facilitator for the Chicago College and Career Advising Credential at the Chicago Jobs Council and Director positions at Chicago Scholars, overseeing major gifts and postsecondary leadership development. Cason's experience in higher education includes interim Dean of Students and Associate Dean of Students at the New York Institute of Technology, and Director of Student Support Services and Academic Diversity Initiatives at Kent State University. Additional roles include Assistant Director for Academic Success at Purdue University and various positions in residence life at Rosemont College and Saint Joseph's University. Cason holds a B.A. in Communication from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in Communication Management from La Salle University.
