Douglas J. Gorny is an accomplished professional in the field of cinema imaging and engineering, currently serving as the Head of Cinema Imaging Solutions and Director of Dolby Cinema Solutions at Dolby Laboratories since August 2011. Gorny established Dolby Cinema Solutions, focused on defining and delivering high-quality cinema experiences, including studio-grade ATMOS and Dolby Vision projection. Prior to Dolby Laboratories, Gorny held leadership roles at RealD, Syntaxbrillian Corp., Three-Five Systems, and Colorado MicroDisplay, contributing to innovations in display technologies and ASIC engineering. Gorny began a career in technology at Hitachi, where significant research and development work was conducted in low-power design and digital signal processing. Gorny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
