Adam Thompson is an accomplished Family Medicine Physician with extensive leadership experience in various healthcare organizations. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and Governance Committee for Doctors of BC, Adam also holds a position as Medical Director at Courtenay Medical Associates, where responsibilities include operational management and recruitment. Previous roles include leading the Comox Valley Division of Family Practice during the COVID-19 pandemic and co-chairing both the Primary Care Network Steering Committee and the Comox Valley Collaborative Services Committee. Adam's career began with foundational roles in healthcare management and general practice, including tenure as Company Director and CEO of Elgar Healthcare Limited. Adam earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Imperial College London.
