Kim Zeevaarders started their work experience in 2007 as a Software Engineer (Java/Oracle) at Mediaan. They then worked at CGI from 2011 to 2013, where they served as a Lead Software Engineer (Java/Oracle) and also took on the role of Interim Scrum Master. In 2014, Kim Zeevaarders joined DocMorris as an IT Application Development Specialist (Backend / Java), responsible for Java Application Development and leading the Mobile App Team. They recently transitioned to the role of Tech lead Order Management. At DocMorris, Kim Zeevaarders worked with various technologies such as Java, Spring, Liferay, Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel, and Docker. They also implemented a new web shop using ReactJS and GraphQL.

Kim Zeevaarders obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that, between 2001 and 2002, Kim attended the Royal Military Academy, where they completed a Basic Officer (BOO) program with a focus on Military Business Administration. Kim's high school education was completed at College Rolduc from 1995 to 2001, where they studied Mathematics (A + B), Science, Dutch, French, English, and History.

In addition to their formal education, Kim Zeevaarders has obtained several certifications. These include being a Certified Vaadin 14 Developer from Vaadin (obtained in June 2020), a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org (obtained in October 2019), an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Pearson VUE (obtained in January 2017), an ISTQB Certified Tester - Foundation Level from CGI (obtained in July 2016), a Sun Certified Developer of Java Webservices for Java EE 5 (SCDJWS) from Koenig Solutions Ltd. (obtained in November 2009), a Sun Certified Web Component Developer for Java EE 5 (SCWCD) from Koenig Solutions Ltd. (obtained in November 2009), a Sun Certified Java Programmer for Java JDK 1.6 (SCJP) from Koenig Solutions Ltd. (obtained in October 2009), a Sun Certified Business Component Developer for Java EE 5 (SCBCD) from Koenig Solutions Ltd. (obtained in October 2009), and a PRINCE-II Foundation certification from APM Group (obtained in May 2009).
