Thomas Geary

Director of Product Management at DocMatter

Thomas Geary has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Thomas most recently served as the Director of Product Management at DocMatter, where they were responsible for designing and implementing product development processes. Thomas also developed the future product strategy for the company's SaaS and mobile apps and defined a hiring plan for a fully staffed product team.

Prior to their role at DocMatter, Thomas worked at Digimarc, where they held various positions. As the Director of Software Engineering / Product Development, they managed multiple teams and was involved in maintaining core SaaS systems, building and maintaining SaaS platforms, and overseeing infrastructure and data architecture projects. Thomas also served as the Senior Product Development Manager, leading a business unit and spearheading the design and execution of a Voice and the Customer program, resulting in the development of a highly praised customer portal.

Before joining Digimarc, Thomas contributed to the growth and success of companies such as Attributor, Citigroup, NextGen Sciences, MapInfo, and Session Level Software Ltd in various software engineering roles. At Attributor, they progressed from a Senior Software Engineer to a Lead Software Engineer and eventually became a Manager, developing systems in Java, JavaScript, and MySQL. Thomas also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Citigroup, NextGen Sciences, and MapInfo.

Additionally, Thomas founded Session Level Software Ltd, where they served as the Technical Director. Thomas was responsible for the technical design and development of CamPhone, an online telephony and video conferencing software. Throughout their career, Thomas has demonstrated expertise in software development, engineering management, product management, and technical leadership.

Thomas Geary attended the University of Essex from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a BSc in Computer Science with German.
