Nils A. Bang is an accomplished geological advisor with extensive experience in subsurface and exploration management within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Special Geological Advisor at DNO ASA since January 2020, Nils supports the Exploration and Subsurface Director, contributing to international subsurface management. Nils's prior roles at DNO ASA include Subsurface Manager for various projects in Iran and Tunisia, as well as overseeing the exploration strategy for Iraq, notably in the Tawke oil field and associated development projects. Before joining DNO ASA, Nils held significant positions at Norsk Hydro International and Saga Petroleum ASA, specializing in carbonate sedimentology and managing teams of geologists. Educationally, Nils graduated from the University of Bergen in 1985.
