Tom Ara is a highly experienced attorney specializing in global entertainment transactional practice. Currently serving as a Partner and Global and US Co-Lead of the Media, Sport & Entertainment Group at DLA Piper since October 2018, Tom also co-leads the Sports, Media & Entertainment Finance & Transactions Group. Prior roles include Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, Partner at Reed Smith LLP, Counsel at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and Counsel at Dickstein Shapiro LLP. Tom began their legal career as an Attorney at Lord, Bissell & Brook LLP. Tom Ara earned a JD from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, between 1996 and 1999.
