Matthias Labisch has extensive experience in program management within the Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendstiftung GmbH since January 2013, focusing on promoting democratic school culture and youth participation. Key roles include leading the "Mitwirkung mit Wirkung" program aimed at enhancing school development, serving as the program lead for the federal initiative "Demokratie leben!" through the "Kompetenznetzwerk Demokratiebildung im Jugendalter," and overseeing the "AUF!leben" initiative that supports children and adolescents in coping with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Matthias Labisch managed the "OPENION" program, which emphasizes democracy through participatory processes and societal engagement. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Social Work from Evangelische Hochschule für Sozialarbeit Dresden and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work from Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz and Political Science from Technische Universität Chemnitz.
