Ahti Westphal is a seasoned professional in the fields of landscape architecture, urbanism, and design. Currently serving as the Director of Landscape and Urbanism at DJR since June 2019, Ahti has previously held roles such as Project Manager, Associate, and at Ahti Westphal Design, established in January 2005, as a Design Research and Independent Design Consultancy. Ahti co-founded ATLAS Studio in 2014 and served as Principal until 2018. Academic contributions include a professorship at the Central Academy of Fine Arts from December 2015 to May 2018 and experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota. Ahti's design expertise extends to senior roles at Lynch + Song and contributions to significant projects such as the Cambodian Center for Cham Studies and the masterplan development for South Cardamom Mountains National Park. Ahti holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master's degree in Sustainable Design from the University of Minnesota.
