Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre was founded in 1988 by concerned members of the community to enhance the quality of life of those residing in the Dixie Bloor area.

Programs offered are free of charge and responsive to the needs of the community including programs for newcomers, job seekers, youth, family, seniors, and many more.

Staff, volunteers and neighbors work together to identify and discuss issues and concerns, develop and provide services and programs to meet the needs of the community, and promote community participation.

Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre’s mission is to foster an atmosphere which will encourage our community as a whole to participate in and develop a positive, healthy and caring neighbourhood.

The Management Team at Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services designed to enhance the quality of life in the community. Each manager focuses on specific areas—such as language instruction for newcomers, settlement assistance, employment services, family and community services, human resources, administration and IT, community health, and outreach and development—to ensure that the Centre’s offerings are responsive and effective in meeting community needs. The team collaborates to address issues, optimize resources, and promote community engagement and participation.
